The Illini Metagamers hosts the following programs every semester. Events like Metacon happen only once in the Fall and Spring, while other programming such as Game Night or Club Campaign happen weekly. Click on the images below for more information.
Weekly Game Nights are held at 7pm every Saturday in the English Building atrium on the lower floor.
This is an open event for anyone to come by and play some games. We provide a large selection of free-to-use games from our Game Case, and make use of the auxilary classrooms from the atrium for one-shots, warhammer games, and more private tabletop gaming.
Weekly Magic Nights are held at 7pm every Wednesday in Loomis Lab (typically in Room 143).
This is an open event for anyone to come by and play some MtG (or other TCGs). It is designed to be new player friendly, while also hosting space for competitive play.
Each year, a group of ~30 GMs organize and plan a Club Campaign.
Each GM runs an individual TTRPG game (typically DnD, Pathfinder, with a few other systems each year). These games run either semesterly or yearly, and will have sessions weekly.
Sessions take place either at Loomis or at the English Building Monday-Friday (each game has a different meeting time).
Once a semester, the Illini Metagamers hosts an all weekend extended game night called Metacon.
We order pizza, pasta, snacks, and host a premade schedule of Metacon games. Games are run by both members and partner organizations
This is open to everyone for one or both days to either run or play, and it acts as one of our primary fundraising opportunities.
